Mathematics Minor
Requirements for the Mathematics Minor
The mathematics minor is recommended for students whose primary interests lie elsewhere but who wish to take a substantial amount of mathematics beyond calculus. Option I (five units) consists of (A) MATH 205, MATH 206 and (B) MATH 302 or MATH 305 and (C) two additional units, at least one of which must be at the 200 or 300 level. Option II (five units) consists of (A) MATH 205, MATH 206 and (B) three additional 200- or 300-level courses. Those STAT courses which may be counted toward the math major may be counted toward the math minor. A student who plans to add the mathematics minor to a major in another field should consult a faculty advisor in mathematics.
