Comparative Literary Studies Minor

The requirements for the minor are as follows: Five units of coursework are required for the minor, all of whichmust be from the CPLT curriculum (including courses that are cross-listed with other departments) and mustinclude CPLT 180: Introduction to Comparative Literature and the capstone course CPLT 375: Translationand the Multilingual World. For the minor, we encourage (but do not require) students to take one course thatfocuses substantially on material outside the modern period (before 1900) and one that focuses substantiallyon material outside the western tradition.
